Dispatches from the desk

I’ve always been a reader and a writer. It starts a lot further back than The Rising Heights series. As a little girl I’ve always felt out of place. To quiet in places, that often felt loud, confusing, or just not for me. And that was okay. When i couldn’t express what I was facing I wrote. And when I couldn’t find the words I’d read. Books gave me a place to escape, to step into another world, to relate to different characters. I decide a long time ago that my circumstances wouldn’t define me. My writings, my words, my vision belongs to me.
